Cisco Standards or Circuit Provisioning on an Optical Network I am not sure where you read your stuff Victor. You do realize that the article referred to circuit provisioning on an optical network using optical equipment from all vendors. Cisco reliably supports almost every standard. When a variety of standards are available, the direction Cisco chooses is important to other vendors. In any examination of inter-operability I would expect only the highest marks for Cisco. The horizontal appeal demonstrated by Cisco is certainly not, and never has been, predicated on proprietary standards. Maybe your memory is serving you bad food, check and make sure that your memory isn't chopping the vegetables on the same cutting board as the fish.
