Could be that a grass roots movement elected Bush. Or, it could be that Gore's bungled/failed campaign allowed the election of Bush. Who can say.

My addition to the list is related to nothing. I was just taking the opportunity to suggest that people are not great simply b/c of their position in life. Often, that is the assumption made about a person; as likely as not, the assumption will be incorrect.

I'm guessing there are plenty of offshore donations being made to both political parties. Yet another reason for campaign finance reform.

Americans do not respect everyone. We demand respect from everyone b/c we are Americans. Perhaps my use of the term "hate" was too strong. I believe the power structure uses hatemongering or similar xenophobic techniques to inflame and motivate the masses. Plus, it makes for a hardy military budget.

Things are good here. I'm trying to recover from a nice long weekend in Vegas. The casinos were better to me than I expected. (Now, if I can just make the right bets in the stockmarket casino.) Had some good food; saw a good show. You would have appreciated the fact that it is now halter-top season in Vegas. Its a shame that no one gave me a day or two to get back up to speed at the office. And so it goes.

have a good evening.

Hey Walter,

Are you represented by either Joe Barton, House R., or Ralph Hall, Sen. D.?

If so, what are your thoughts on them and their policies?

I was just doing some research and noticed that both are on the top 10 list for taking $$ from the nuclear industry. Also noticed that Bush campaign took roughly $290k from the nuke industry. That is plenty of reason to be looking to build more nuke power plants.

TIA,
