Those numbers make the picture much clearer...the "income split" numbers refer to AGI, which doesn't include income in tax deferments plans such as SEPs or Keoghs, so you have to take that into account.

I also thought it was striking that the percent of AGI going to the top 1% of filers increased by over 3% in just ten years...that clearly shows the concentration of wealth at the top.
