David,

There are no Jack in the Box outlets where I live, but my wife loves them. When we travel to places that have JBX, she will pick them over any other "fast food" place. Personally, I see little difference between JBX and their competitors in quality, but they do offer a bigger selection, e.g. tacos and hamburgers.

I am a little concerned that the net margins they reported in the Sep. 2000 year (6.1%) are unsustainably high. Those margins represent the best profitability in a decade and might be subject to pressure. Any thoughts?
