It will be a burden even with not being popular. The best thing would be for a small vocal minority to push for GPRS. The SPs will have to pull a channel from positive margin voice service to support GPRS. That would exacerbate problems and reduce net revenue.

Another major possible application (maybe a candidate for a killer app) is on-line gambling. If Congress passes the law allowing on-line gambling in state where gambling is allowed, I think this could be huge. Also, in this regard, would I be correct that CDMA allows for more security?
