Securities Commission launches initiative to address current
regulatory issues in the capital markets

Vancouver, BC- The Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C.
(www.cle.bc.ca), and The BC Securities Commission (BCSC) (www.bcsc.ca) will
address the regulatory issues that have cropped up in the fluctuating
markets at Capital Ideas, a timely, one day conference on June 6th in
Vancouver.

BCSC Commissioners, senior staff and prominent BC entrepreneurs will
discuss the "big picture" from each of their perspectives. This is a
welcome opportunity for BC businesspeople to discuss and learn the impact
of the latest regulatory changes.

The Commission will clarify its approach to regulatory process, market
efficiency and integrity initiatives. Hear business leaders and the
Commission discuss how they can work together. Participate in the forum by
discussing your experiences and views. Explore how industry and the
Commission can shape the future of BC's capital markets.

Barbara Stymiest, President & CEO, Toronto Stock Exchange will present the
Luncheon Address on the Changing Capital Markets in Canada: A View to the
Future. Ms. Stymiest is responsible for overseeing the operations and
long-term strategic development of the TSE.
