NTAP is oversold unlike OVERPRICED EMC or SUNW. Your example: But I don't NEED to buy your $350K house for $500K, UNLIKE corporate Storage customers who MUST upgrade storage needs every 60 to 90 days. If you look at the NTAP website and study the INPUT study, you will see that NTAP is CHEAPER for the TCO Total Cost of Ownership, that is, TCSO total cost of storage ownership than EMC or SUNW or CPQ or the rest. By 75-65%. That is a very significant SAVINGS, and if your neighbor has a house just like yours for $227-$265 why should I buy your house for $350 when I can save 35-25% of the Total Cost of Ownership? Especially if my budget is tight due to the 2nd Greenspan induced recession?
NTAP will gain on the economic recovery that is to come, albeit later than many thought (all due to the obstinance and arrogance and unaccountability of the FOMC and Greenspan who refuse to drop rates at least another 100 to 150 basis poiints, i.e 1% to 1.5%) but the recovery will come, or the war, if history is correct.
I am,
Truly your$,
