Well, if the world turning on its' axis and the sun rising in all the cities with (gulp) "living wage" requirements isn't good enough the link below mentions some studies--

Couldn't agree more. And as unemployment rises, governments look to the building/rebuilding of infrastructure as the best possible way to keep unemployment at "acceptable" levels. In fact much of my latest research efforts have been aimed in this direction.
