CNN SCOOP: DoCoMo tests 3G streaming video smartphones (PALM ports inside) to give Japan the first truly WIRELESS Video Cellphones. Why doesn't CNBC cover this? check it out at about 2:15-2:30 p.m for the repeat of the DoCoMo news article (on the hour). Just saw it, it looks great, no choppy video, true 3G. Now let's kick the US, and drag the US kicking and screaming (to paraphrase Peter the Great of Russia) into the Future. We need more WIRELESS network infrastructure, then move over George Jetson. The Cameras can PDA, but not at th kind ob bandwidth or throughput of a PALM with expansion slots. Its like, sure, you can build a ham radio station from your car radio, but why? Just buy a Cellphone instead. Likewise, just buy a PALM with 10,000 software applications already written for the PALM OS and all the expansion slots at high bandwidth just waiting for you to add on a camera, a digital video camera, a cellphone or wireless network modem, etc etc. And the GUI.
