Fleck is about to throw towel:
But there was wholesale bludgeoning in the precious metals, with silver down 2% and gold down 3%. A few months ago, I mentioned my friend Evan Meyers, who was bullish on gold before it started its run. Today, Evan suggested that we were seeing the contraction in open interest that needed to occur. We won't know until tomorrow how many people were washed out today. But obviously, this has been an enormous setback. Depending on how things play out, we should know in the next couple of days if this is just a vicious correction, and it is time to add to gold positions, or if the rally will take its place among all the countless others that have fizzled over the last 20 years.
