Strictly speaking, in a true "free market" there would be no such thing as gouging, right? But your President used the words "illegal gouging." I didn't put them in his mouth. Greed seems to be fine. But there may actually be illegal greed as well. I have no idea what the criteria would be.

By the way, for you to say that liberals think profit is a dirty word is not quite correct. There are plenty of very successful "liberals" whose love of profit knows no bounds. In selected cases, it's "somebody else's profit" that is dirty.<<gg>>
