There is also the multiplier effect to consider when looking at the total economic impact of the cash infusion. Also, please remember that this money is not spread over an entire year - the rebate checks start going out in August and most should be delivered by late September.

Look at it this way, over 2-months this money is going to amount to spend like 3% of GDP. That's huge.
