I see your point. I did allow one exception which would be when pryer is posing a threat in the question. I doubt that my daughter would leave town for this but I get your point. It is her good reputation that we are protecting. Lets say she was incarcerated and I believe she is innocent of the charge she was convicted of. I m....ight lie about where she is. I would be more likely to describe her absense in a truthful way that doesn't sound like she is in jail. Like, she has to take care of some personal business up north so that she will be ready to go back to college next semester.
