Velvet. I exited this trade this morning. It may be just my frustration at these markets, but it seems to me that market depth has virtually no meaning, these days.

I usually watch a dozen or so stocks, each day,
and I usually have seven or eight market depth screens open.

It hasn't been unusual, for the last while, to see nothing of significance on the MD until the last minute before the open.

And now, I find that large orders (ie. over $100,000.) seem to just appear seconds before they're filled.

So, for the most part, for whatever reason, market depth has almost no meaning.

A more reliable indicator of direction is usually whether Yorkton is buying or selling. They have an uncanny ability to sell just before large sell orders by other houses are placed, and to buy just before large orders to buy by other houses are placed.

Rant, ramble, ...
