No, Illinois doesn't supply all the corn for the US but a good percentage of it. Off hand I can remember seeing corn grown in 17 states. I've seen it irrigated in Mason County that has sand ground and the water table is only 16' down. They also irrigate in Wisconsin where the corn is cut green and used for silage for dairy cattle.
