You based your original post on one years change in total net profits. Profit margins are a better way of determining if profits are high or low than pointing to a one years increase. But of course if you throw out all the numbers, because accountants came up with them, and they are just juggling numbers then it becomes difficult to have any standard upon which to judge. Are you an accountant? Your original post did a good job of juggling numbers.
