"Finally, Alan Greenspan admits to caring more about the
stock market than the economy.

The Federal Reserve chairman said in a speech last
Thursday: 'Owing to the variable and long lags of monetary
policy, the effect of our recent policy initiatives will take time
to strengthen financial portfolios and spill over into demand
for goods and services.'

So, now it's clear.

Greenspan's game plan is to get stock prices up so that
people feel rich and will start spending again.
