Joe, Re:It is entirely possible, but the window was wide open for AMD to sell 1+ million Palomino notebooks this quarter. AMD did not take advantage of this opportunity. We will be lucky to get 1/3 of that number.

How do you know this opportunity existed?

Doug

In the US total Palomino notebook sales this quarter will probably be only 1/10 of that number. The only upside is Japan with the recently announced design wins. However, Japan's biggest notebook OEM (Hitachi) is still not on board. Plus: All OEMs except NEC sell only mobile Durons (lower ASPs). We can only hope that HP unveils its planned Athlon notebook soon. That would really help (US) sales.
