"What is not obvious is how Tualatin will fair against Thoroughbred."

Trends, trends, trends...AMD's "spry Athy" has overtaken the P3 and The INTC P4 counter has hardly wowed the microprocessor world...Palomino has just arrived (it's real and does perform) and is in early stages of its evolution and the Tualatin remains very much a product of the INTC PR department imagination until it arrives, if ever, by which time the palomino will no doubt have evolved to a new level of performance...

The point I'm getting at here (trends) is that AMD continues to introduce real leading edge product at a fairly rapid pace while INTC keeps producing "products of the keyboard" at a dizzying pace...By the time INTC's "products of the keyboard" are converted to reality, if ever, it is not unlikely that AMD will have moved to a new level in their product evolution...A very strong case can be made that, in reality, INTC is now playing technological catch up in both the consumer and mobile spaces and on Monday, we'll probably find that INTC is relegated to the technological "catch up" position once again in the low end of the server space now that AMD has new product in this offer new market for AMD...
