Sold my ST positions in PMs last week

What remains is focused on a multi-month holding period.

As Stompers reply to you points out, the Fed is pumping in such huge quantities of liquidity that stagflation looks more and more like a done deal. That environment strongly favors the PMs.

Remember we've had a big run in most of the better gold stocks. It could take more consolidation in both time and price before we're ready to rally again. That's why I sold a lot of my PM holdings last week.

BTW, during periods of stagflation in the 1970s it was not unusual for CRB to remain weak well into the early phase of major rallies in the precious metals.

Bumped up RTN position by another 25% today. In fact, used a small part of the proceeds from the profitable liquidation of the ST portion of my PM portfolio last week to do so.

Would like to see RTN get into the 27s before I add any more. But any price under $30 is a good LT value IMHO.

Other large position in defense area is sm cap RTI which I've mentioned here before. Excellent little company, which last time I looked was up for the 3rd day in a row.

How have your recent trades been treating you?

Cheers,

Isopatch

Hi Paul,

I have enjoyed your post the past year or so.
Interesting to note that I am not getting killed on the CRB breakdown. Purely I know, anecdotal, but PM stocks are not breaking down. (except the senior ones) many of the juniors r holding their own FWIW especially silver stocks <g>

Maybe there is some sort of decoupling or divergence happening.

Regards,
Peter
