And a young man's fancy here at S4 (ok, maybe not so young anymore), turns to things like fishing, camping and hiking. Thats right, I dream of fishing for retailers who just can't wait to install S4 Version 6! Of hiking through grocery store after grocery store and not finding a single price that's incorrect! Of camping at store after store across these great United States seeing first hand the difference that Version 6 makes! While some may question my sanity (frequently, but that's beside the point), I can think of no other way to convey the sense of anticipation here at S4. Long hours and lots of sweat are beginning to pay off. Our partners are pounding on Version 6 and giving us the feedback we need to make it be the unquestioned leader in Back Office applications. And the more feedback we get, the hotter V6 gets! New additions to the already substantial feature list keep happening weekly. For example,Version 6 now has an interface to NCR's DecisionNet Electronic Shelf Labels. This interface has several people excited and adds a new level of functionality to S4. The Version 6 grid view just keeps getting better. It now allows you to save default data views and edit items directly from the grid in a field by field mode or quick entry mode. It's a long ways from the DOS days. As my thoughts shift to another one of our fantastic spring products, I think of S4 TransAn. I dream of skydiving through terabytes of data, grabbing bit after bit and molding them with my own two hands into something a retailer can use to make accurate business decisions that affect his entire organization's profitability! There is no doubt about it. It's shaping up to be one heck of a spring here at S4 -even if there is still snow on the ground in Nebraska. The only thing that could make it better is you! If you haven't seen Version 6 or S4 TransAn lately, give me a call. I'll make sure you quickly get a CD! Well, maybe not too quickly. As I read through what I just wrote, maybe I need a vacation. If I'm not here, ask Janna or Cindy. They'll take care of you.s4.com
