Dollars are not a zero sum game, they are a way of keeping score. Every day you work you create value which must be compensated with dollars. Your boss pays you and you pay the grocer and the grocer pays the trucker and the trucker pays the farmer and the farmer pays the fertilizer company and the fertilizer company pays the oil company and round and round and round it goes. Too many dollars and we get inflation, too few dollars and we get deflation. Deflation is worse than inflation.
