That's interesting. Didn't know that. Now how would a company like that get into the Nifty Fifty? I suppose it says something about the culture of that time, doesn't it? And it shows how cultural attitudes can influence supposedly forward-looking ideas on investing. No doubt, CSCO will turn out to be just as silly an investment 30 years from now. There really won't be a need for B2B once one company has a monopoly on everything in the world. There will be just one big B, with a lot of poor sods slaving away underground (descendants of pro-business right-wing extremist Republicans).

But seriously, that filling of the gap by QQQ was interesting -- as Chris pointed out. I hope he shorted into it. That was the thing to do -- to short at the top of the gap, at around 46.1. I didn't, because I was too slow and stupid.
