Well, I think the thing with Chris is (I hope he's not listening) that he focuses on what works and doesn't get sidetracked by a lot of useless indicators and systems. His charts aren't filled with a lot of meaningless nonsense. He puts in a few well-drawn trendlines and support and resistance lines, adds an effective indicator, and that's it.

There are threads and private lists dedicated to the pursuit of meaningless TA nonsense. If on occasion they do succeed in separating the chaff from the wheat, they throw out the wheat.

Ed Downs tonight on NAZ/OEX:

NASDAQ Composite and OEX (S&P 100)

The NASDAQ has the "kiss of death" written all over it. We
have a long lower trendline which has been broken, and a
consolidation beneath it. We need to break 2,140 tomorrow
to keep this thing from going into a deep retracement back
to absolute lows. The OEX is also through an important
line - down. **
