GAWD, is THAT article politically incorrect! I didn't say "wrong", though. Seems like nobody, not here and not in Washington, wants to recognize this problem. I understand that Texas (and Arizona and New Mexico) also have their parts of this problem.

Back in the '70s, the liberals decided that it was cruel to keep them out and basically made it impossible for the Border Patrol to do its job. Politics got into it too: these people vote overwhelmingly Democratic and Democratic politicians knew that the more of people of Mexican descent that got into this country and then got to vote, the more votes they would have. And it worked: now it seems that they have so many votes that effectively it is irreversible. The political will to attack the problem does not exist.

If anyone anywhere in the US thinks this is not their problem, think again: legally a state cannot bar immigrants from another state. So over time this wave is coming your way.
