My point is simply this: Wouldn't it be highly ironic that Bush's own daughter could be one strike away (technically speaking) from six months in the hoosegow because of a "let's get tough with criminals" law her father signed into law while governor of Texas? Yes, highly ironic. What right-wingers often forget is that when the net of "get-tough" justice is lowered into the sea of humanity, it scoops up everyone in its path ... young Kennedys and young Bushes alike. Once again, Mr. Ish is way off base when he speculates I would be giddy should Ms. Bush slip up thrice and do six months of hard time. Actually, I would have the opposite reaction. Clearly, such a punishment would not fit the crime. Hammer asks if I drank beer at 19. The answer is yes. It was a way of life about every weekend. CJAC asks if Ms. Bush belongs to a union. No. I do not believe so. He also asks, Where are the Secret Service in all of this? It appears from my perusal of the articles on the daughters Bush that the Secret Service boys are to ferry the girls around for the sake of protection, but "get lost" when they "just wanna have some fun." My question remains: Is there any bar owner in the state of Texas, and specifically in the Austin area, who does NOT know what the Bush girls look like by now? (Also, the 10 guys in suits who look like Mike Ditka and wear listening devices also should be a give-away). And yet one or both of the girls tried the old fake ID scheme a couple weeks ago yet again. Is anyone listening to Limbo these days? What is his take on all of this? Simply youthful indiscretion? Let's imagine for a moment that same had happened to Chelsea Clinton a couple years ago. Limbo would have been on her like flies on a garbage truck.
