Maybe I am clueless about IBM; what little I know I glean from my status as a former shareholder, as a customer, and as someone who lives in a neighborhood where I am surrounded by IBM-ers and ex-IBM-ers. To that I add what I read. I think they're desperate for growth, and that there are some serious clouds on their horizon. How long can they rely on financial engineering to keep the Street happy? And go read the discussions about IBM disk drive reliability on Usenet some time. What do you suppose this is all about?: pp.co.nz BWDIK. JMHO.
