Sharck: Here's a little gem for you and the board: CANI.

Carreker Corp (CANI) is a provider of integrated software solutions and consulting that enable banks to move from paper transaction to electronic finance (e-Finance). They are a small-cap that is a leader in this sector and have been profitable for a while. CANI is a back-door play that gives exposure to the financial sector and the internet space.

They have gotten whacked this year, going from $40 in mid-January to $10 due to: (1) recent earnings warning for next quarter due to reduced IT spending; (2) recent acquisition of Check Solutions; (3) numerous analyst downgrades last week. The stock is still in freefall and I would NOT buy right now -- it can easily go to $7 or under during this month.

However, once is settles out and starts to form a base, this might be a very profitable LT hold if bought at $6 or $7. The financial sector will be a beneficiary of the interest rate cuts and IT spending will eventually pick up pace sometime next year, particularly for software/consulting companies that save banks money and make their e-Finance business more efficient.

Do your own DD -- but, worth a look.

Impressive list, bookmarked. Fuel cells seem a little long in the tooth now, feel like a ponzi scheme.
