Tony, That's a bit of my background, too. I just don't have the 98 QCOM buildup. Bought my first shares in January 2000 (well, save the one's that are in a diversified fund in TIAA-CREF). I'm now retired and wanted--now I'm adding to my lists of aims for cc writing--to use it to smooth fluctations but also to provide some income in down or sideways markets. The latter is not essential but it would make life a bit more comfortable. I must add that, in addition there's more than a little fun here as well. At least as long as I do well (g). John
