Such nonsense! What planet do you live on? Nobody knows or will know what, if anything, Chelsea did, because there was a gag order in effect --imposed by the Clintons and respected by the media! Also, she wasn't allowed to be interviewed by the media. Why? Were the Clintons embarrassed by her, or more likely worried by what she might say about them?

Also, please substantiate your statement that "most of the media in the country is Republican-right wing anyway." You must be counting 3 dj's at a 2-mw local radio station with 6 miles of coverage in Memphis vs. Dan Rather (ostensibly a 3:1 ratio, wow!) We've all heard that lame, flailing, last gasp liberal whine at some point in time and I wonder what support you have for your statement.

Flap, did as you suggested (obviously you didn't or you wouldn't have suggested it...) Looked up on SI:

Rush and Chelsea....

SAW several posts: Many from flap and scum....regarding how bad Rush was...NO LINKS ...just opinions...theirs...

One post by: George Rush NY Daily News

See some comments there with NOT ONE SINGLE Link or source, time of day, station, etc mentioned, other than " I heard or I saw"

A link from Patricia that has gone bye bye now..

and another from Patricia using FAIR as the source for Rush's supposed mispeaks... from "FAIR"..... looked up Fair...

Here's a bit about the background of the editor of "FAIR"... Quite interesting that he has been bashing Rush Limbaugh for some time....and who he supports....

Jeff Cohen
jcohen@fair.org

Jeff Cohen--columnist and commentator--is the founder of FAIR, the New York-based media watch organization. His columns have appeared in such dailies as USA Today, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe and Miami Herald. For four years, he co-wrote the weekly, nationally syndicated "Media Beat" column (with Norman Solomon) for Creators Syndicate.

Cohen is the co-author of four books -- Wizards of Media Oz: Behind the Curtain of Mainstream News (1997); Through the Media Looking Glass: Decoding Bias and Blather in the News (1995); The Way Things Aren't: Rush Limbaugh's Reign of Error (1995); and Adventures in Medialand: Behind the News, Beyond the Pundits (1993).

Cohen appears regularly as a panelist on Fox News Watch, the media criticism program on the Fox News Channel (Saturday 7 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. ET). He has been a frequent guest on national TV and radio, including Today, Larry King Live, Donahue, C-SPAN and NPR. He has served as the co-host of CNN's Crossfire. He is quoted on issues of media and politics in such publications as the New York Times, Washington Post and TV Guide.

Cohen has lectured on campuses from coast to coast, including Harvard, Princeton, Columbia and various University of California branches.

Prior to launching FAIR in 1986, Cohen worked in Los Angeles as a journalist, and as a lawyer for the ACLU. His investigative articles ran in Rolling Stone, New Times, Mother Jones and other publications. He was a boardmember of several public interest groups, including the ACLU of Southern California and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference/L.A.

Cohen did undergraduate work at the University of Michigan and did his legal studies at the Peoples College of Law in Los Angeles. He became a member of the California Bar in 1981. He now resides near Woodstock, New York, with his wife and two daughters.

Flap. Get a grip. Outside of Fox and AM, there is no right wing media. The mainstream TV and press are overwhelmingly liberal. Its a fact confirmed by numerous studies.

I agree with you that the Bush twins antics are newsworthy. They also do not reflect on Bush pere or family values. You can't pick your family. But those in the news have to expect a certain amount of this type of dreck. Goes with the territory.

Rush was unfair and his attacks on Chelsea were uncalled for, if he did in fact pick on her. I never saw any such attacks reported and I rarely listen to his show. I'll take your word for it until someone shows me otherwise.

Finally, Rush is no longer rotund. Trashpicker?? I'd say it more closely fits Bernie Ward but that's a matter of opinion over which we may disagree. Try to keep to the facts.
