>Governor's first response to the current energy crisis - 50 weeks ago (well, the earliest I found).

>Directed State agencies and facilities to conserve electricity (directive included raising interior temperatures to 78 degrees, reduce interior lighting, turn off ALL decorative lighting, turning off unused computers, shuttering south and west facing windows), and called on "citizens and businesses to undertake similar efforts to reduce their consumption of electricity".

KCBS, the San Francisco news station, took a thermometer with an audio output and walked the halls of the Calif. state capitol building two weeks ago and played the results on the news. Most of the temperatures were around 72 deg. except for one floor that was 68 deg. Seems the governor has not noticed the temperature in his own building.
