The USA is at a crisis point! Markets will crumble if Bush makes the wrong decision. Don't forget you will also have several hundred more Internet companies going broke in the near future. Possible oil embargo with current energy problems will also impact market severely. I agree with your analysis on fundamental levels for the markets, but these existing problems will override everything when they hit. Watch Israel, not Fib!

Everyone living in the USA better hope and pray that George Bush makes the right decision concerning leaning on Israel to give up any of its land.

Bush nominated Daniel Kurtzer as the next U.S. Ambassador to Israel. Keep in mind that he used to be the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt. This nomination is definitely a move in the wrong direction, and one that signals a lean towards pressuring Israel to give up land.

The Catholic Church through Pope John Paul has also pretty much said that they would favor Israel giving up land for a lasting peace. This Pope signed an agreement in February with the Palestinians basically calling for Jerusalem to be a city which would guarantee the equality before the law of the three monotheistic religions. Israel basically told everyone to "stick it" concerning using Jerusalem as a bargaining chip!

Add to this you have statements by Bush about "keeping oil flowing" as the most important thing in the region, and you have a perfect scenario for blackmail by the Arab nations to pressure the USA to come down on the WRONG side of this "land for peace" issue.

What will happen if the USA changes direction on this issue and pressures Israel to give up land and "share" Jerusalem? I am posting a link to an earlier writing about how God seems to deal with the USA when they go against Israel on this issue.

Is the USA the Babylon that goes from greatness to nothing very quickly in the End Times? Just could be . . . .

Thanks for the thoughts on the market. I am thinking that the next day or two is going to be very important here.

Seems to me that the head and shoulders reversals have failed on the daily charts of both the S&P and NASDAQ, and after the breach of the trendline from the April low, we have not seen much upthrust yet to show support in this really important zone.

Support is somewhere around here, between the 20-day EMA and the 50-day MA, but of course, we are now back under the neckline, and remain under the yellow line. To me, the market is looking a little "heavy"...
