TLNT Telenetics Reports Significant Increase In Sales of Its Sunrise Products

LAKE FOREST, Calif., Jun 1, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Telenetics Corp.
(Nasdaq:TLNT) today reported that sales of its Sunrise Series Product Line
("Sunrise Products"), have increased significantly during the first two months
of the second quarter of fiscal 2001.

Total sales for the months of April and May were approximately $1.5 million and
$2 million, respectively. The increase in revenue is primarily due to the
increase in manufacturing throughput of Sunrise Products. These data
transmission products were recently licensed from Motorola Inc.'s (NYSE:MOT)
Multiservice Networks Division.

Announcing this significant development, Shala Shashani, Telenetics' chairman
and CEO stated: "We are very pleased to inform our shareholders and investors
that through the dedication and efforts of our management and employees and
commitment of our contract manufacturer, we have overcome major initial
obstacles in the production and shipment of our Sunrise Products.

"With approximately $3.5 million in sales for the first two months of this
quarter, the continued increase in overall shipments of the Sunrise Products and
the steps that our management has taken to reduce costs and increase margins, we
believe that our second quarter results will show a significant improvement over
the first quarter.

"We believe that we will continue to move towards accomplishing our stated goal
of becoming profitable."

uncertainties. Actual future results could differ materially from these
statements. Factors that could cause or contribute to such differences include
but are not limited to the inability of the company to effectively integrate its
new lines business under its license with Motorola with the company's current
and historical operations which, in turn, could result in revenues less than
expected by management, the ability of the company to adequately finance its
increased production requirements and those factors discussed in the company's
