Well they could be using the futures as a device to get traders to sell stocks short, then buy the futures and sell the stock back at higher levels... I agree, more or less. This game is being played with the short sellers. The institutional buying interest is there for technology. It is just a matter of trying to get the traders to short even more so that the MMs and mutual funds can take advantage of bearish bets made by traders. It does not matter what the charts indicate for the market at this time...like I stated earlier. As far as mutual funds are concerned, the bearish the technical indicators, the better it is for them. The game has changed in the last 2 months. Don't know how long it lasts. BTW--short sellers are likely to move out of positions sooner than the long holders normally do. That is also why I am expecting an explosive move in tech stocks. JMHO.

They could. But I see them walking hand in hand with the speculator at this junction. They can`t go wrong because they can short again and again.Time&Capital is irrelevant to them and they have all the right arguments on their side to back up the speculator. It`s risky for me to follow I know, but the "mediocre sales argument" is easy to verify because everyone interested to find out knows the only man who can tell it all and that is the salesman. And the salesmen in high tech equipment sales here in Germany are hurting and the growth factor is on holidays. I wished I had the money for more of the same.
