<I remember an article, may have been a Time magazine spread or Newsweek, from the early 80's. Madonna and Cyndi Lauper had just burst on the scene, and the article talked about how Madonna was just a fad with marginal talent while Lauper had real talent and would endure for years if not decades. Guess they got that one wrong, eh?>

At least Time magazine has been consistent with their erroneous calls. Do you remember when Time magazine named Jeff Bezos the man of the year during the height of the new bubble economy? lol... I guess all the fanfare sells well at the news stand.

I'm still waiting for Time magazine to tell the American public who really "won" the election between George W. and Al Gore.

I think that anything she's done is worth owning...and everything. "FAITH AND COURAGE" is her latest release.

It's got a great beat and you can really dance to it<g>http://home.wanadoo.nl/bobbink/discography/sleeves/albums/faith_and_courage_big.jpg

looks like a greatest hits package is out too.

"Universal Mother" had some good tunes but not quite as strong as the latest...it does have a killer tune called "FIRE ON BABYLON" that I need to hear once a month and a great version of CObain's "All Apologies"

"Am I Not Your Girl? " was a CD of covers..avoid IMO

ps--Pick up your Stephen Malkmus yet? I may have to airmail you a copy

pss--Emylou coming to town

psss--Leon Russell in town Sunday night at a real cozy little joint..could I? Would I?
