Nice intro to this thread, Craig.

I think you've summed up the situation quite neatly. I've been nibbling in silver stocks for a year or so, so far with nothing but capital losses to show for it. I think the important thing is that this is a long term thing and it's important to be ready when the moves come.

Up here in the great white North, we are seeing a firming in our dollar as Junior oil producers get bought out (in Canadian dollars). As commodities improve, our currency will continue to rise, both as our natural resource based economy improves, and as buyouts happen.

Bottom line: Short the US dollar against the loonie.
