Am I absolutely sure He is right in His claims? No, but I'm sure enough to commit to it.

Better watch out, Greg, or Neo will hang the epithet, agnostic, on you. <G>

I have said quite clearly that If you could demonstrate that Jesus did not rise from the dead that I would abandon my belief in Christianity

What have you replaced it with, if you don't mind my asking?

I did not claim to be absolute, someone else did, and He also claimed to be God which by your definition allows Him to do so

"I am that father come to remind his children that they should live together as one family until my grace awakens them to the one that knows no second."

Only a fool would insist that this is absolute proof of divinity.

I only asked the question. Are you absolutely sure about your own statement

And I answered that I am not absolutely sure of anything. I am logically sure of any statements to which I attribute such surety. You think that you have absolute knowledge which thus trumps human logic. I believe you have no absolute knowledge. If you would discuss on human terms--the logical possibilities in various deity claims could be debated. Of course, this has already led to a recognition that there is nothing inerrent or divine in the bible, if we are to judge by logical criteria. Your response to this, of course, is God is great, God is Good, Jesus is God. Perfectly sensible reaction from someone who believes first, and then allows as fact only that which supports the belief. Your head must be an exciting place to live in.
