As you often said, was it a "bought deal"?

And regarding your statement that all Telecomms have problems, I tend to agree.

But there are some who fare better and show positive Cashflows (like the European mobile companies which are likewise cash cows), and then we have the data carriers which do have too low revenues for years in order to turn in cash, thanks to the masochistic pricing...

To add a tidbid. it was Mobilkom (Austria) who turned the cashflow of the whole Telekom (NYSE:TKA) positive in 2000 and more important, in Q1 2001.

* Fixed line: Despite competition-related decline in revenues by 6.3%,
EBITDA remained almost at the level of the previous year due to
successful cost cutting measures. EBITDA margin increased from 31.1% in
the 1st quarter 2000, to 32.9% in the 1st quarter 2001.

* Mobile communications: Growth in Croatia and the consolidation of the
mobile market in Austria had a positive impact on this segment's
margins. Revenues increased by 21.5% and EBITDA by 32.8%.

To make things worse, does this influence Tellium?

Earlier Thursday, CIBC World Markets analyst Jim Jungjohann lowered his investment ratings on a number of component manufacturers, on his belief that network vendors are starting to seek average price discounts for components of up to 25%.
