Semi-equips have been cyclical growth companies. They should be compared to capital equipment companies rather than commodities. Traditional capital equipment companies have a secular growth rate which approximates the GDP growth rate. The semi industry has been growing much faster and the secular growth of semi-equips has approximated the semi growth.
