When I said "we" it wasn't of the collective or the royal
we but the city, this area. The stock channel has been being provided
by Shaw cable. It was terrific. Although on a fifteen
minute delay, combined with real time quotes on specific
stocks on the Greenline site, it worked really well.
I did have a screen appear one day on my computer some time ago that
offered real time. You could plug in stocks and watch
them trade. That's better than nothing but not the same
as watching all the trades, spotting a trend and making
a buy or sell. If cable tv can provide this service surely
someone can set up a stock site to provide it. I'd even
be happy to pay the @#$% cable tv company to provide it.
I guess it's like a lot of other things (the local
booths that served great ethnic food that got wiped out
by the chains)that are too good to survive.
