Dennis: No one who is here on this thread would make an investment based on a research paper. <g> Well, most, not. The problem with a "research paper" is: 1) who is paying for it? 2) "research" looks in the rear view mirror. Practical people here look out front through the windshield. The track record of attempting to use "research papers" (which are outdated when published) as a basis for an investment decision is dismal in a rapidly evolving, constantly changing environment - which thanks to Qualcomm we have in mobile wireless.
