Cramer hedging now ;-) >>>>>Don't Get Distracted by the Press' Take on Cisco
By James J. Cramer

Typical drive-by shooting of Cisco (CSCO:Nasdaq -
news - boards) just now. A boilerplate document gets
filed with boilerplate language about boilerplate
conditions and it gets picked up by the national media as
something important.

This document is to Cisco like the "order disappointment" statement is to Altera
(ALTR:Nasdaq - news - boards). I told you when the media was going nuts about that
Altera stuff last night that it was nothing, and the stock went up. I am telling you now
that this stuff is nothing for Cisco, but we will have to wait until Monday until the
media people say, "That Cisco news was actually not worse than expected."

I would be buying Cisco right here, but I am waiting to see the results of the
complicated convertible that Cisco is doing with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. I
have now confirmed that such a piece of paper is being sold, and it is probably
responsible for more of the pressure than the press or the boilerplate 10-Q. Boy,
does this stock have crummy holders. Still, I am not sweating it, just like I didn't
sweat Altera -- and this one I have cold hard cash on the line!
