Hi Jdaasoc; Re Winbond's supposed decision to manufacture RDRAM. Where's the press release from Rambus? To believe that Winbond is going to start up RDRAM production while Rambus fails to mention it is kind of difficult, though I guess anything could happen.

By contrast, here's Rambus announcing 2 years ago that Micron is going to go to full scale manufacture of RDRAM chips:
thestreet.com

We're not talking about a shy company here. We're talking about a company that never misses a chance to put out a press release. This is a fraud convicted company that never misses a chance to pump their stock price. So where's the Winbond production announcement? I admit that I don't know for sure that Winbond isn't putting RDRAM into production. All I do know is that Winbond put out a press release saying that they are going into production DDR (see winbond.com ) and haven't (yet) put out a corresponding press release to the effect that they're going to make RDRAM.

What gives? It's not about my "spin", it's about why would anyone believe a foreign language newspaper article when these type articles have repeatedly given out bullish news that turned out to never happen.

I don't know. Maybe Winbond just hasn't put out an English language press release yet. (But why did they put out an English language DDR press release?) Maybe Rambus is sitting on their PR, and waiting until their stock price needs a boost. (But I would think that the vicinity of their 52-week low would be a good place to release good news).

I have a pretty good nose for BS news, both for and against Rambus, and this smells like BS to me. But I have been wrong...
