Michael-- you may be correct. Thankfully traders do not have the patience required with cpq at this time but find it easy to make a few bux on the volatility... Next buy order is in,,, lower than Fridays close!

I think he, and everyone else (including the supposedly infallible John Chambers) were totally blindsided.
MC, at this point, has not delivered, but not because of anything he did or didn't do. I know some people feel that is making excuses for him, but the point is he had CPQ on track when the economy turned.
CSCO was already diving when the economy turned...so saint Chambers had a hell of a lot better idea of the condition of his business.
Comparatively speaking, MC's track record over the same time period has to compare well to JC's. In this environment, that's pretty good.
