Prophet, I am sure that voice recognition can happily swallow huge amounts of processing power. Video conferencing obviously depends a lot on network bandwidth but with more processing power it should be possible to use higher degrees of compression. I will probably upgrade when the P4 is available in .13u as this should have much lower power consumption and will by then be heading towards 2GHz. I tend to buy (or usually build) the best system I can and then skip a generation before upgrading again. I also try to stay one step behind the bleeding edge, so that somebody else does the debugging. John
