Sent him an email, just as I mailed Jerry a letter back in 1994 suggesting that AMD purchase NexGen, hire one of the core architects of the Alpha design team, and coordinate with DEC on producing a processor using the same interface protocols as a then future generation Alpha processor.

For the record, at the same time I suggested that AMD scrap their K5 processor and license the Cyrix 6x86 core instead. I told them that, in my opinion K5 was going to be a disaster.

I received a call from AMD shortly after, but I got the impression they were fishing for a leak rather than being genuinely interested in my ideas.
