America was my very favorite group in the 70's. The first time I ever heard "Horse with no name" I had just woken up from a nap in the front seat of a 1966 GMC pickup truck on the outskirts of Chicago. I was going across country with my soon to be husband and I couldn't believe my ears or eyes. The song was great! What was the Dewey guys first/last name? Anyway....... There was a line in the sky like it was drawn there by the hand of God. Above the line the sky was blue, below it was dirty gray. I asked with great surprise and concern, "what is THAT? " Pollution was the answer". I held my breath until we got through Chicago. Wonder if it is still THAT bad? Hope not. I still have every single record (vinyl) that America ever cut. Ah,"Ventura Highway". I remember when.........Another time. Thanks for the link. ;-) M
