If the bible is 100% correct, then I guess I'm screwed. Oh well. I'll continue to live the life I'm living now and hope someone, or something will judge me for who I was, and what I did with my life. Would be funny if we went nowhere, or became nothing after we die. The irony. lol !

(fineprint) I also reserve the right to change my mind at any time if the bible is proven to me to be 100% and I accept, and believe it to be the "Golden Rule". Until then ...I guess... wish me luck.

My hope is that there is no "Golden Rule". We live by too many rules already. I don't want to die by one. I've never read the New Testament, so I can't relate to accepting Jesus as my savior. I can relate to the force, spirit, or whatever you believe it to be called... God. I also accept that the bible does a good job in teaching values, love, and principles. So does Steven Covey's "The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People". So does the Koran, and the Tabbala (did I spell that right ?). So do most "New Age" self help books. So does the warning label on a pack of smokes.

All that aside, I would never deny you to live by the "Golden Rule". Who am I to tell you or anyone else that the way you live and what you believe in is wrong. Who am I to tell you that you are following the wrong religion. That you will not get eternal life because you are not a christian, muslim, budist, or a jew. I can't cause I don't know for certain. So, I respect everyone's believes, and superstitions. We all have the right to believe in what we want to.

As far as which is the the "Golden Rule" and if one should live by it.... I think you're putting too much thought into these questions. I think deep down you know the answer. Follow your heart. If to you the bible is 100% correct, then live by it. It can only do good to you and everyone around you. Trust me. People will know and see that you are living your "Golden Rule", and they will love, respect, and appreciate you for that. I know you are. I can see it :-)

The bible is correct in what it says. Take heed to the words of Jesus.... I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me. And again, Unless a man is born again he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.

Look at the hundreds of prophecies concerning his ministry on earth hundreds of years before he was ever born in the manger. During his 3 year ministry he talked little of heaven but warned about the dangers of eternal damnation for those rejecting the truth.

Since you appear to know what is written in the bible, who would be more held more accountable before the Lord on the day of judgement, a good person who hadn't heard his words or yourself?

Just some thoughts from someone who decided it would be better to err on the side of choosing Jesus just in case he is truly who he said he is.
