Bob: >How does my CRB/XAU chart look <

Looks fine, but I don't know what to make of the divergence at the end of 1999. Actually, these are your charts which I like the best and often refer to. goldsheetlinks.com.
I remember when you introduced me to the XAU ratio many years ago when I was still hanging around at Kitco.

Re the AU/ASA chart, named after yours truly, I lost interest in the arbitrage situation when you told me that the companies were not identical and that ASA had a big platinum holding. By the way, I sold my plats (Gencor = Implats) two weeks ago. Not the best price, I know, but they've had a good run and look very 'toppy' on every analysis which I do --- and also some which I don't.(eg Gecko charts --- metals fyii.net

For your information, I did buy AU in January at about $14 equivalent (on the JSE). I was persuaded to do this by my own analyses. Actually, I mentioned it at the time on this thread. And, notwithstanding the present 'sell-off', I am continuing to hold them.
