In one special sense , if one is talking of Religion in it's highest sense , it is talking of that mystical state
where the mind ------> is illumined .

You might see it is a state where a man or woman treads
delicately between the celestial and the earthly
in a state of pure objective/subjective equilibrium.
Where one is not only in a state of equipoise
with the world/physical , but balanced also in
that vast extensive network of "Mind" .

When you think of where "heaven" is , that mythological
place where the roses bloom , milk and honey flows ,
and Allah speaks thru the Prophet , it is always
thru the " Mind " , or that seat of consciousness
which is for a very mature, contempative old~soul
who is prepared himself arduously , and is steady ,
and receptive enough to encompass
and hold that experience .

In that rare state of "being" , come every great prophecy
and rare expression of what can be called "divine"
within us , that may later become a "prophecy" .
But it is more accurate to me to refer to prophecy
as an acieved realization of what is
called the mystical .

Some ancient Sages long ago gave humanity the first
clues to the destiny and glimpse into what possible
state of potential that exist within the vast complex
that is every human being . To me , looking
back thru time , which for humans those first moments
those illumined sages first saw in their hearts
and embraced the concept of Ahimsa , is the true
dawning of man's more blessed
awareness of himself .

Where we start to climb out of the morrass of an
animal/instinctive/reactive past and climb to higher heights within.
I speak of balance and equipoise
alot in describing this experience , for I have seen
it in both Hindu and Buddhist Masters , and also
in my experience as a dancer when
I studied at a fine University department
under a famous instructor.

(Some dancers are some of the most spiritual
people I have known .... i guarantee you have
never met a "dumb" one )

So , looking back upon history Brees in a spiritual sense
I see an evolution from some very precious
starting points beginning with some very illumined
minds, minds that saw the finer resolution of our senses
and perception , and the deepest realizations that
fulfill our souls and energies ...

When men discovered the experience of Ahimsa
in meditations ages past , that is the spiritual equivalent
of him discovering the wheel , or fire .

Truth is one , religions and tribes are many ...

;-)

Why not just let us have fun in our own ways and every body has nirvana in thier own time.

I would liken the spiritual achievment of touching upon nirvanna
or Samahdi , as the equivelent of becoming one of
the finest ballet dancers ...

If you go to study ballet , you will find
it is one of the most difficult things to master
you could ever embark...and require an effort
hard to gauge in normal human terms .

But look at the result ...(and you rarely meet
a dumb ballet dancer.)

hope that helps .
